Second Instrument was founded by Tiana Vallan, while she was attending Ex’pression College in Emeryville, CA. While interning at a local animation studio as an AV specialist, she drafted the plans for a recording and mixing studio that would be built in Oakland, CA. But her love for live audio changed those plans, and Second Instrument became Second Instrument Productions.
In 2012, while serving on the production team for her friend, she built her first website to officially brand an artist to prepare for their first album release concert. Her responsibilities covered both production and digital, and she realized that the vision for Second Instrument needed to change.
That one project launched the official digital service division of Second Instrument, and it became Second Instrument Media.
From 2012 to 2018, most of our clients were producing live events and conferences, and we provided technical support, audio services and visual design. Slowly growing the digital services over time.
In 2020, our industry was hit hard, and events were shut down. We had no idea the pandemic would have a huge impact on our industry, but what has kept us alive, is our digital service division. Most of our event clients needed innovative ways to produce online, and we were here with the expertise to help them make smooth transitions.
Today, Second Instrument Media works with small businesses, entrepreneurs, visionaries and creatives to polish their online presence. Our clients are at transitional phases in their lives, in their companies and are looking for encouragement to push their passion forward. We have worked with over 100 clients since 2013, managed over 30 social media accounts, launched 25 websites, and the list continues to grow.
We work with our clients to find the best strategies and provide custom packages based on those needs. Because we cover all of digital marketing, and live experiences, we can anticipate your needs and make recommendations ahead of time.
We've developed websites, designed logos, planned events and provided digital marketing materials for a ton of clients, and we're always looking for new opportunities to work with other entrepreneurs on branding or project management.
